2 weeks in Japan

NeaPolis Bible Chapel!!!

Impressed by the fellowship and devotion of this little church. After the service and lunch together, they spend the whole afternoon together. Some study the word, others sing or simply get into discussions.

We’ve been over whelmed by the hospitality of this little family. They are being subarashi (wonderful) hosts!!

Dai Masaki’s daughter, Yuki.

We hosted a Canadian birthday party since the three of us had birthdays within a week of each other. Taught them pin the tail on the beaver. Above is Yurie and she won!!

Hikaru used to live with us (Steven and Andrea) in Toronto and at the time showed very little interest in God. Since then, we’ve seen her two times in Japan. Please pray for a soft heart and desire to know God.

Historic temple across the street from the chapel.

We wanted to spend time helping practically at Samaritan’s Purse in relief effort. Everyday we dig out dirt, clean and break walls down. During breaks, we have had may opportunities as a team of believers to talk to the home owners who are very interested in talking with us.

One of many houses that need to be demolished.

Andrea is the bestest and hardest worker ever.

Utogawa san (in the middle wearing a yellow top) has ask us how to pray and we pray everyday before we work. Today we gave her an abridged bible and gospel tract. Pray for this older couple and only survivors in their neighbourhood!

Apparently this was the only surviving tree among many that were washed away in the Tsunami.

This is in a small town where the Samaritan’s Purse is located in Sumita. We met these boys while they were playing soccer near our tents. When they cross the street they are taught to raise their hands like so:

Our next big event in Tokyo is our mini concert. We sang, had an open mic and engaged in spiritual discussion. It was be held at NeaPolis Bible Chapel and included a free meal. Arigato!! (Thank-you)
